Cross Country Team & Leader Bring Halloween Joy to Foster Kids through Teamwork
A special shout-out goes to Ethan Miller, who, along with 10 cross country teammates and 8 other dedicated members of The Oxbridge Thunderwolves Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, came together to make a difference this Halloween. Their team organized and assembled 30 thoughtful gift bags for foster children, ensuring that these kids felt included and celebrated during the holiday. Each team member brought their unique skills to the project—whether it was designing, organizing supplies, or putting together the bags—making the event not only successful but also deeply meaningful. Their efforts displayed the power of collaboration and highlighted what young leaders can achieve when they work together with a shared purpose.
FAU STUDENTS Deliver Easter Joy to Foster Kids: Heartfelt Easter Baskets Bring Smiles and Hope
The FAU University Owls Chapter of Students Speak Up for Kids brought joy to young foster kids when they gave out adorable easter baskets. Led by Ava Mansman, Chapter Leader, the students that participated poured their heart and soul into creating something that would bring huge smiles to foster kids faces.
Atlantic Eagles STUDENTS Create 125 Books and Beauty Bags for Foster Kids at Wrap Party
The Atlantic Eagles Charter School for SUFK hosted a wrap party led by Daniel, Izzy and Ryanna. During the party they created 125 books, 37 beauty bags and various homemade cards and ornaments during their wrap party to help serve local foster kids.
FAU Owls Reach 400 Users in Social Media Campaign on Child Abuse Prevention
On April 20 (2022), Our Owls Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up For Kids at Florida Atlantic University, led by Sarah Meyer Bertheau, created a beautiful pinwheel garden in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. These blue pinwheels are symbols of health, happy childhoods and is the official emblem of child abuse prevention. By decorating their campus with these pinwheels, these students spread awareness of an important cause and showcased the power of student action.
