Royal Palm Beach Wildcats Raise Awareness with CAP Blue Out and Cotton Candy Fundraiser

A big thank you to Alyssa Santero and the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids for making a huge impact through their CAP Blue Out and Cotton Candy Fundraiser.

With school-wide posters and announcements, their initiative reached 2,000 students and staff, raising awareness about Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) and the importance of advocating for safe and supportive environments for children. The Blue Out event encouraged students to wear blue in solidarity, while the cotton candy fundraiser helped raise awareness and support advocacy efforts.

Why This Matters

Raising awareness is a key step in preventing child abuse and empowering communities to take action. By engaging the entire school through posters, announcements, and a visible show of support, Alyssa and her team helped start important conversations about child safety, advocacy, and how everyone can play a role in protecting children.

How You Can Help

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we believe that every effort counts when it comes to creating safer environments for children. Here’s how you can make an impact:

  • Wear blue and spread awareness during Child Abuse Prevention Month.

  • Support fundraisers and initiatives that help children in need.

  • Join or start a chapter to advocate for child safety and protection in your school or community.

Thank you to Alyssa Santero and the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats for showing how student leadership can create real change.

Share this story to help spread awareness and encourage more students to take action.
