Benjamin School STUDENTS Reach 650 with Presentation on Child Abuse Prevention
Louisa Swank, Ava Crawford, and Gianna Demerski from The Benjamin School Buccaneers Chapter of Students Speak Up for Kids reached 650 students and staff with a presentation on breaking the cycle of child abuse, abandonment, and neglect. They also decorated the courtyard with a pinwheel garden, distributed blue ribbons, and encouraged students to wear blue in support of child abuse prevention.
Spanish River STUDENTS Create 100 Coloring Books for Foster Kids!
The Spanish River Shark Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids designed 100 personalized coloring pages for children in the foster care system. Spanish River Students Unite for Child Abuse Prevention: Raising Awareness with Bracelets and Pinwheels
The Spanish River Shark Chapter of Students Speak Up for Kids gathered together to make and hand out blue bracelets in honor of CAP month. They also created pinwheels and handed out different colors of sunglasses!
FAU STUDENTS Deliver Easter Joy to Foster Kids: Heartfelt Easter Baskets Bring Smiles and Hope
The FAU University Owls Chapter of Students Speak Up for Kids brought joy to young foster kids when they gave out adorable easter baskets. Led by Ava Mansman, Chapter Leader, the students that participated poured their heart and soul into creating something that would bring huge smiles to foster kids faces.
Acrobatics and Balloon Animals
The Calvary Eagles Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids partnered with Florida Children’s Theatre Circus Troupe to create a magical experience at Storybook Village. The Circus Troupe performed acrobatics, dancing, and singing, while the Calvary Eagles crafted balloon animals and painted faces! Their collective effort created unforgettable memories for foster kids, reinforcing their sense of being valued and cared for. Service and Social Society STUDENTS volunteered at Storybook Village, making bracelets and coloring with foster kids. Through their heartfelt interactions, they helped create a safe space for foster kids to express themselves creatively, fostering a sense of belonging and joy during the event.
