Spreading Smiles and Sweets: FAU Owls Host Candy Drive for Storybook Village
Frida Zavala and the FAU Owls Chapter helped bring extra joy to Storybook Village 2022 by organizing a candy drive, ensuring that children had a special treat to enjoy during the event.
Through their efforts, they collected enough candy and goodies to assemble 200 goodie bags, making the event even more magical for the kids who attended. These festive treats added an extra layer of fun and excitement, creating a memorable experience for young participants.
Why This Matters
Small gestures, like receiving a bag of treats, can make a big difference in a child’s day. Events like Storybook Village provide kids with opportunities to engage with stories, play, and celebrate childhood, and the FAU Owls helped enhance that experience by adding a sweet surprise. Their contribution ensured that every child felt included and had something special to take home.
