From the Heart: Boca High Bobcats Send Holiday Cheer to Foster Children

Sophia Mills and the Boca High Bobcats Chapter of STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids embraced the holiday spirit by creating handmade holiday cards for children supported by the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program.

These heartfelt cards were designed to spread warmth, encouragement, and festive joy to children navigating the foster care system. Each one carried a personalized message of kindness and holiday cheer, reminding recipients that they are valued and not alone during the season.

Why This Matters

The holidays can be a difficult time for children in foster care, but a simple gesture—like receiving a handwritten card—can make a lasting impact. These GAL holiday cards helped bring a sense of connection, comfort, and happiness to children who may not always experience traditional holiday celebrations.

How You Can Help

At STUDENTS Speak Up for Kids, we believe in the power of small acts of kindness to make a difference. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Create handmade holiday cards to bring joy to children in need.

  • Support foster care programs by donating gifts or volunteering.

  • Join or start a chapter to lead community service projects that uplift and encourage children.

Thank you to Sophia Mills and the Boca High Bobcats for using creativity and compassion to make the holiday season brighter for children in foster care.

Share this story to inspire others to bring joy to children in need.
