Painting a Brighter Future: FAU Owls Guide Foster Youth in Art Expressions

Breana Frazier and the FAU Owls Chapter hosted an Art Expressions Workshop, providing a space for foster youth to explore their creativity and express themselves through art.

This engaging workshop welcomed two foster youth, offering them a chance to participate in guided art activities designed to foster self-expression, emotional growth, and confidence. Whether through painting, drawing, or mixed media, the workshop gave participants a meaningful outlet to share their thoughts and emotions in a creative and supportive environment.

Why This Matters

Art is more than just a creative hobby—it’s a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing, and emotional expression. For foster youth, having opportunities to engage in creative activities can be life-changing, offering a way to process emotions, build self-esteem, and develop new skills. By providing this workshop, FAU Owls helped create a welcoming space where foster youth could feel heard, valued, and empowered through artistic expression.
